9.15 THE GEORGE GADD DUO
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
After shows alongside the likes of The Front Bottoms, Allison Weiss and more recently an intimate show to a packed out room supporting Kevin Devine, Nottingham's very own George Gadd is bringing his unique brand of alt pop/rock to The Southbank City Bar.
His success has led him to playing shows and festivals all over the UK, in Europe, and America.
Anyone that has seen or met George before will know of his amicable disposition, and as such, he frequently collaborates with other musicians. He has worked with artists across the UK and America including Yellowbirddd, Emma Crowder and Thomas Jefferson Aeroplane. Through collaboration and inspiration, George has developed and refined his sound into what it is today.
"... A fellow I have a huge amount of respect for who has a fantastic way with words and a knack for infectious melodies." - Dean Jackson - BBC Introducing
"Gadd's convictions and knack for a tune carry it through and live up to its lean, engaged title." - Louder Than War Magazine
"... Amazing, very powerful and wonderful voice and a brilliant feeling for good music." - A Music Blog, Yea?
"One to watch!" - Nottingham Post

Joey hails from the windy city of Chicago (America) but has made hoodtown (Nottingham) his home with plays on BBC Introducing East Midlands and with local promoters a plenty shouting his name from the rooftops! Great hair, accent and an even better voice. See him now or next time you might need a VISA!
