About

Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 May 2016

On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May 2016, many of the venues listed on the Nottingham Art Map invite you to take part in their events and exhibitions.

Join New Art Exchange for a game of golf with their interactive exhibition, Leisure Land Golf by Doug Fishbone. Hop on the tram to Nottingham Contemporary and Backlit Gallery to see the largest UK showing of work by NTU alumnus and Turner Prize winner Simon Starling, as part of The Grand Tour Season Two. Stop off at Bonington Gallery and get a self-portrait taken – part of their Publishing Rooms exhibition, focusing on experimental forms of self-publishing.

Other exhibitions and events include:

• Free drop-in art workshops and the opportunity to see Gordon Cheung: Here be Dragons at Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery

• Talk: Collecting Contemporary Art, 3 pm on Sunday 15 May at Syson Gallery

• Vision and Memory by David Jones at Lakeside Arts Centre

This is just a small selection of the exhibitions and events taking place across the weekend. To plan your weekend visit www.nottinghamartmap.co.uk and look for the weekender symbol on the listings.
