Nottingham BID's Independents Festival

Various City Centre Locations, Nottingham
Nottingham BID's Independents Festival

About

Saturday 8 July 2017

Nottingham has some of the best independent businesses in the country (well, we like to think so anyway!) so come join us as we celebrate them with our Independent Festival on Saturday 8 July from 10am in the city centre.

They’ll be free entertainment on stage at Trinity Square, Pelham Square, Middle Pavement and Carlton Street throughout the day, as well as street parties held at Flying Horse Walk, St James’s Street and Cobden Chambers. Plus, independents across the city will be getting into the festival spirit (glitter and tents not required) with brilliant offers and discounts in-store.

Here are a few fab independent activities already lined up:

  • Tasty samples and discounts from Ugly Bread Bakery on Pelham Street
  • Street party on St James’s Street where the thriving creative community join forces to bring you live music at Malt Cross, design demos from Dukki  plus much more!
  • Dukki treasure hunt - simply pick up your form in store, have a wander round our great city and win a prize for the most correct answers
  • Head over to Cafe Sobar for gourmet cocktail sweets, free cake samples with every hot drink and much more
  • Step back in time and go on your very own dinosaur hunt! There will be mini dinos in the shop windows of Flying Horse Arcade - simply test your knowledge  and match the type of dinosaur to the name of the store it's hiding in.
  • Try and score a hole-in-one in Trinity Square with The Lost City Adventure Golf guys, and if you do you'll win a free game of golf
  • Last year's winners Debbie Bryan have a crafternoon where you can take an old top and up-cycle it into a gorgeous tote bag
