Canalhouse
Tickets: £10 per table (up to 2 people per table from the same household)
"I imagine that like me, after eight months spent indoors in your pajamas, you are ready to put on your glad rags and head out to see a show about straight male crossdressers. This is an important subject to me, as I am one of them and we are still mostly a punchline.
I saw a Mario-themed stag-do yesterday. There were multiple Marios, Luigis, and Yoshis, whilst the stag was dressed as Princess Peach.
And I wonder why that was.
What is meant to be inherently funny about a man dressed like a lady? It's a status thing, isn't it?
I know that sounds really heavy, but I have done my best to make it as light, fun, and accessible as possible, so don't worry, ok?"
Rob Kemp is an Edinburgh Fringe Best Newcomer nominated, multiple award-winning comedian, usually found doing silly multimedia stuff, but on this occasion would like to tell you a personal story about shame, identity, gender expectations, and being true to yourself.
TICKETS: £10 per table (up to 2 people per table)
If you are wanting a larger table and are from the same household please contact Nottingham Comedy Festival and they will try their best to accommodate you.
