Nottingham Independent's Festival Street Parties

Presented by It’s in Nottingham, this year’s Independents Festival will be filled to the brim with music, activities and entertainment in celebration of the great independent offer in Nottingham’s city centre
Along with lots of exciting fringe events, the main festival will be staged around four independent hubs of the city: Trinity Square, St Peter's Square, Middle Pavement, Carlton Square.
As well as the main hubs there will be street party style events at:
TRINITY WALK
The businesses of Trinity Walk, including Steele Hairdressing, Knit Nottingham, Ila’s Little Tea Shoppe & The Little London Herbal Store, bring you a day filled with activities & entertainment.
• Face painting, balloon making & magic
• Cake decorating, hand massages & a craft table
• Treasure Trail and prizes to be won!
ST JAMES’S STREET
Discover a world of hidden gems where the creative community of the street entertain you.
• Live music from Plates Records & Malt Cross
• Demonstrations from local designer makers Pop Press, Dukki, Dizzy Ink & Handmade Nottingham
• Beer sampling at Malt Cross with beers from Nottingham breweries Black Iris, Totally Brewed, Neon Raptor & Liquid Light
• Malt Cross presents Power of Drums live drumming circle (2pm)
• Plates Records’ founder DJ Descent set of soul, reggae, world music & disco (5 – 9pm)
FRIAR LANE
Bringing together independent businesses from Friar Lane & Wheeler Gate. Brought to you by The Specialty Coffee Shop, Café Sobar & The Treat Kitchen.
• Music celebrations throughout the day with free food & drink
• Charity events raising money for Double Impact, the charity behind Café Sobar
