Open Churches Weekends 2018

Various churches across Nottinghamshire, Nottinghamshire
Southwell Minster in Nottinghamshire

Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 July and Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 July 2018

Welcome to the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham's 6th Open Churches Weekend.

Over 170 churches will be participating over two weekends this July, either simply by opening their doors and welcoming visitors to their regular services, or by offering refreshments and staging additional activities and events.

Nottinghamshire is so fortunate to have such a rich variety of historical buildings to visit in our city, towns and villages; places of prayer and worship; centres of community life and service; buildings of historical and architecural significance. But, of course, our Church buildings are first and foremost places to encounter and worship God. They are also great resources for mission and outreach.

Just some of the churches involved in the open weekends include:

Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 July
St Peter's Chruch in Clayworth
Southwell Minster
All Saints Church in Babworth

Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 July
St Mary Magdalene in Hucknall
St Mary's Church in Nottingham city centre
St Mary's Church in Edwinstowe
