At Halloween, the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead is said to be at its thinnest...
Join Creswell Crags at sunset on Halloween or the following All Souls Day (31st October or 1st November) to investigate the spirits who inhabit the site.
Your guide will be Peter Ling of Argyle Ghost Guides, an expert who will show you how to use equipment such as pendulums and ghost boxes, as well as demonstrating how light sensors, alarms and divining rods can help contact the spirit world.
The experience will begin in the visitor centre, where hot drinks will be available, and then take you out into the gorge - into Robin Hood Cave which has the highest concentration of apotropaic 'Witch Marks' in the country, and to the location of a village, now lost to history. The investigation will last approximately 2 hours, depending on levels of spirit activity, and weather conditions. Numbers will be strictly limited for these investigations, so early booking is recommended.
£20 per person. Strictly over-18s only. This is a serious paranormal investigation, not a storytelling session. Please do not attend if you will be overly frightened, or offended, by attempts to contact the spirit world.
You will need to wear sensible shoes and dress appropriately to be outdoors at night at the end of October. This experience is not suitable for anyone with a heart condition - particularly those with pacemakers - or anyone who is pregnant. Please note that the ground is uneven and access to the cave is by wooden steps. Spirit activity is not guaranteed!
Tickets can be booked via the 'Website' button above.
