‌Over 300 civil war re-enactors will descend on Newark during early May Bank Holiday as the clock is turned back to the turbulent mid-17th century.

The 5th Annual Pikes and Plunder Civil War Festival will take place on Sunday 5th & Monday 6th May with over a dozen regiments taking part alongside two artillery companies, a baggage train and scores of living history exponents making the 2019 Festival an even bigger spectacle than before.

This fabulous free family event is repeated over two days and is being staged to mark the fall of Royalist Newark on 8 May 1646.

More information to follow soon.
