NTU’s Centre for Broadcasting and Journalism has industry-standard resources which include radio studios, recording booths, news desk and convergence systems for online platforms.
It is therefore an ideal place to develop your skills and knowledge of radio journalism, both in front of the mic and in a production role.
This course will introduce you to the practice of radio newsrooms. You will learn how a radio bulletin is compiled and the importance of targeting a bulletin towards a particular audience. You will be given basic voice training to help you present the news and features, and skills in writing for broadcast.
What will I gain?
After studying this course you should be able to:
demonstrate a basic knowledge of the practical skills relevant to radio journalismplan, design and execute research in a range of areas that demonstrates basic knowledge of radio journalismwork effectively and collaboratively in a teamBe able to find, evaluate and manage information.
This course is part of the NTU Global Summer School and can offer 5 NTU credits (2.5 ECTS).
