About

Ready, Steady, Bodge!
See fast and furious, fascinating furniture making
at The Harley Gallery, Welbeck
Saturday 11 May 2013, 10am – 4pm
Visit the Harley Gallery, Welbeck on Saturday 11 May for Ready, Steady, Bodge! 3 top furniture designers will be demonstrating in the Gallery courtyard from 10am to 4pm - creating quick, experimental designs.
Award-winning designers Gareth Neal, Chris Eckersley and William Warren are used to making sleek, polished work. These demonstrations will give them the opportunity to play and create quick-fire, spontaneous furniture that is inspired by bodging but far from traditional. The designers are currently exhibiting in The Bodging Project which is on show at The Harley Gallery.
Visitors can come along on Saturday 11 May and watch the woodworking whizzes, or you can book to have a go yourself. Sessions last for one hour and run between 12noon and 4pm, costing £20 per couple. Booking is essential - call 01909 501 700 to book.
You can also enjoy a whole host of treats for your eyes or your tummy, all Made at Welbeck. 11 of the Harley Studios will be open to explore, and food and drink stalls can be found just outside the Gallery, where Creswell Crags and musicians from Nottingham’s Guitar Bar will also be on hand to entertain. All this, and it’s free entry, too!
See woodworking experiments and improvised design at Made at Welbeck, on Saturday 11 May, 10am – 4pm. Spend the day enjoying Open Studios, beer, food and live music. Free entry and free parking. The Harley Gallery is on the A60 between Mansfield and Worksop, 10 minutes from the A1 and M1. To find out more visit www.harleygallery.co.uk.
