Spend some time making your own personalised mosaic picture on a natural wooden plaque. Guided by our exceptionally talented, artist and tutor Sarah, she will take you through the process step by step, encouraging you to take inspiration from the beautiful surrounding countryside.
What you will learn:
Designing process
Cutting of tiles safely
Applying process of the cut tiles, broken china and beads to a natural log base
By the end of your session you will have completed your piece and know how to apply the grout at home once your mosaic pieces have dried.

Perfect for all levels of ability, no experience needed.
What is included:
All materials, tools and refreshments are included in the workshop price so you don't need to bring anything, just yourself.
Outline of your session:
Arrival and enjoy light refreshments
Welcome and introduction to your tutor, Sarah
Discuss design options based on the theme of nature with the group – assist in drawing motif design and colour scheme for each mosaic
Shown the tools, materials and techniques
Start work on your picture
Refreshments with a snack
Finish off your piece and learn how to apply the grout
Home time with your fabulous mosaic
Please note, due to the nature of the adhesives used in this workshop you will need to wait 24 hours for it to dry completely before the grout is applied at home in. You will be shown in the workshop the best technique to use and will have a practice run.
