Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet present Swan Lake and The Nutcracker

About

Wednesday 15 - Sunday 19 March 2017

Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet will be coming to the Royal Concert Hall Nottingham in March 2017 with performances of Swan Lake on 15 & 16 March and The Nutcracker from 17 to 19 March.

Swan Lake

The story of the Prince and the Swan Princess is a tragic tale of love that triumphs over evil, set to Tchaikovsky’s sublime, soaring dramatic score performed by a live orchestra.

The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker is a delightfully festive tale, and the perfect introduction to Russian classical ballet. Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet presents an opulent, brand new version of this timeless story of Clara, whisked away on a fairy tale adventure by her Nutcracker Prince. Again, this ballet is set to a magical Tchaikovsky score performed by a live orchestra.

Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet

Following a triumphant premier UK tour in 2015, Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet will make their debut at the Royal Concert Hall Nottingham in March 2017. Under the direction of Marina Medvetskaya, SPCB has won plaudits across Russia, Scandinavia and the USA. Demonstrating the superb technique and artistic heritage from the cradle of Russian ballet – the City of St. Petersburg – this company presents the best-loved Russian ballet titles. Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet’s performances have an air of magic, along with outstanding performances from their young and talented soloists.
