Stray's Coffee
Every Saturday | 3 -5pm
Enjoy live jazz sessions at Stray's of Newark every Saturday!
Jazz events at Stray's are usually trios, occasionally duos and sometimes stretch to a 4 or even 5 piece outfit! Unless the artist is a bassist, Stray's owner Mat play bass with all the bands, which spreads the budget to the paid musicians and also keeps him on his toes!
The jazz takes place in the covered courtyard, unless it’s really sunny, in which case it will move out onto the patio.
There is limited seating in the jazz courtyard offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you want to guarantee your spot, it’s well worth reserving a table. It’s only £10 and you have the table for the duration of the afternoon.
Why not enhance your jazz experience with a superb coffee and piece of Mum’s home-made cake? Or better still, make an afternoon of it and order some lunch – the house burger is to die for… Stray's daytime menu is available until 4:30pm and the are also wines, beers and soft drinks to enjoy.
