9th April 2016
The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra's return to Nottingham promises to be a memorable evening filled with lively Scottish jigs and reels, beautiful slow airs and song, with a measure of stirring pipe music thrown in.
Under the baton of Blair Parham, the SFO's brilliant young conductor, the show will include the orchestra's own musical arrangements, some well-loved and well known, but mixed with a blend of new material, all played with the SFO's usual dash and vigour which thrilled the audience at last year's Nottingham concert.
The orchestra will be welcoming back on stage the renowned mezzo-soprano Colette Ruddy and tenorDennis Haggerty who have delighted audiences all over the country with their wonderful singing and warm personalities and the SFO is delighted to be performing with them once again.
Our compère for the evening is Robert Lovie who will apply his own unique blend of humour and anecdotes to the show.
This eagerly anticipated event will appeal to Scottish music enthusiasts and tourists alike and promises to be an absolutely unforgettable evening.
