About

Sherwood Forest walks: Woodland Photography Walks with Birds Of Prey

The Sherwood Hideaway and falconry experts Go Active have launched thrilling photography walks through Sherwood Forest, with birds of prey following the group every step of the way.

During these incredible Sherwood Forest walks Harris hawks, falcons and an array of owls will swoop between trees, giving you the amazing opportunity to capture images of these birds in this beautiful woodland setting.

As a photographer you will be accompanied by award winning wildlife photographer Heather Burns, who will provide a master class on how to take stunning shots of the birds.

There is a range of props and natural backdrops provided for stunning static shots, and birds fly between stands so that you can frame your images in a natural setting.

Go Active founder Simon Stacey provides an insight into the history of falconry to make the day a complete experience. Birds of prey photography days last around five hours and cost £95 per person. All ages can take part and groups are limited to no more than eight.

Sessions take place on the following dates:

October 14th
October 28th
November 11th

Sherwood Hideaway guests can book directly with Go Active by emailing info@goactivefalconry.co.uk.

Please note that photography days are weather dependent and may be cancelled in event of heavy rain and strong winds. No refunds are available, however dates can be changed as a result of poor weather.
