Let artist and textiles designer, Sue introduce you to the wonderful art of Silk Painting. The workshop includes a two-course homemade lunch served with local wine. This workshop is for everyone, but perfect for absolute beginners ready to learn an addictive craft.
You will make a panel approx. 35x35cm which could be framed as is or could be made into a cushion.
What you will learn:
- How to prepare your silk panel
- Preparation to create your outline ready for painting
- Painting techniques
- Colourway selection from the many available, and paint your panel
- How to set and finish your piece.
- What is included – All materials will be provided for you and the workshop includes a two-course homemade lunch served with local wine.
Outline of your day:
- Welcome with refreshments and meet your tutor
- Introduction to materials & tools
- Silk panel preparation and outline
- Refreshment break with snack
- 2 course homemade lunch with a glass of local wine
- Choose your colour and paint
- Break for refreshments
- Finish and set piece
