Sinfonia Chorale open their season with an atmospheric candle-lit performance of the ever-popular Fauré Requiem.
Soothing and expressive but restrained, it will be prefaced by music on a theme of Light, including Eric Whitacre’s Lux Aurumque, and Hymn to the Creator of Light by John Rutter – a soundscape through stained glass -plus music by Byrd, Tallis and Gabrieli.
