STATUS QUO RETURN TO CAPITAL FM ARENA NOTTINGHAM WITH SUPPORT FROM CHAS & DAVE
Britain’s best-loved rockers will undertake an 11 date “Status Quo Live In Concert” UK Winter tour in December 2014 with a date at Capital FM Arena Nottingham on Thursday 11 December. Support at all dates will come from Chas & Dave.
This tour sees Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Andy Bown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and new boy Leon Cave bringing back their thunderous live show to the nation’s venues. Packed with hits, both new and old, taken from that unbelievable back catalogue, “Live In Concert” is a series of dates not to be missed.
2014 has been a vintage year for the band in every sense. March 2014 sees the “Status Quo Live In Concert” go on sale but also the valedictory dates from the Frantic Four line-up of the band. Additionally, the band’s seminal 1972 ‘Piledriver’ album – their first on the legendary Vertigo label - is being issued as a Deluxe Edition with bonus material by Universal. The band have also teamed up with the Wychwood Brewery to create the ‘Piledriver’ beer which is now on sale in thousands of pubs nationally.
Rossi and Parfitt are undoubtedly one of British music’s most enduring partnerships and the same is true of the evergreen Chas & Dave. Masters of the quick quip but also with an ear for a catchy tune, and a knack for writing hits, this duo have become part of the social fabric of the nation, in much the same way as Quo themselves. With tracks like ‘Gertcha’, ‘Snooker Loopy’ and ‘Rabbit’ always raising a smile it’s easy to overlook the fact that they’ve played at Glastonbury, perform this year at Sonisphere and once opened for Led Zeppelin!
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 28 March 2014.
Tickets can be booked online at www.capitalfmarena.com, via +44(0)843 373 3000 or in person at Ticketing & Customer Services, Bolero Square, The Lace Market, Nottingham, NG1 1LA.
