Join Madame Parboiled as she follows the route of the 1831 Rioters through the streets of Nottingham. Hear how the People of Nottingham suffered, and were driven to the extreme measure of burning down Nottingham Castle. The Riot Act will be read, as it was in 1831, in an attempt to disperse the crowd. Discover the spirit of rebellion which has always been strong in Nottingham.
Meeting at St. Peter's Church near Marks and Spencer's 7.30pm, touring through the city,before storming the castle.
The storming of the Castle is an annual event held on the 10th October but can be booked for a group at anytime. Anything we give you is something to keep - such as glow sticks to represent the burning brands used to torch the castle. Get really into the spirit of the event by dressing up as the Nottingham Lambs (trouble makers) who wear bowler hats, (Available to buy on the evening at £4) white shirts, black waistcoats and trousers.
