Cast of Strange Meeting
The Lost Boys Paul Broesmith & Ben Adwick
The evening begins with Strange Meeting, an emotionally wrought play that stages the drama and theatrical potency of Wilfred Owen's poem. Written by Peter Roberts and commissioned by Sinfonia Viva for The Lost Boys, the play received extremely high praise when last performed for its intimate look at such a vast subject.

In the second half, experience Britten's emotive take on Wilfred Owen's poems in the resonant acoustics of St Mary's Church. Played by the masterful, Grammy nominated and RPS Awards 2018 winning orchestra, Sinfonia Viva, the second half is a breathtaking experience.

Conducted by Associate Conductor of CBSO Chorus David Lawrence and featuring tenor and baritone vocalists, alongside the captivating sound of a live choir, Britten's masterpiece is given the luxuriant and grand treatment it so richly deserves.
