About

Summer Festival:Celebrating Olympic values in the local community-Djanogly City Academy
The arrival of the Olympic flame is being celebrated by a community festival for people living in Hyson Green, Forest Fields and neighbouring areas.
Organised by a community cohesion group set up to increase good neighbourliness, the festival is an opportunity for all community members to interact and enjoy a host of exciting activities including workshops, performances, a gymnastics display, ‘Olympics for little ones’, ancient crafts, stalls, a weird and wonderful swimming pool and a procession.
Admission is free and open to all. To support the group’s aim of giving back to the community, everyone attending is asked to donate canned or dried food for the charity Himmah and a food bank for people in food poverty in Nottingham
If you are interested in running a stall at the Festival please contact Julie Squires for further information.
