Friday 28, Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 August 2020
Time slots at 10am, 11am, midday, 2pm and 3pm
Green's Windmill and Science Centre
Green's Windmill baking workshops are back! In this workshop you will bake your very own delicious bread and it's up to you if you eat it straight away or save it for later. All ingredients are supplied. This event is for ages 3+ and costs £4 per child. Time slots available are at 10am, 11am, midday, 2pm and 3pm. Take away refreshments will be available.
BOOKING IN ADVANCE IS ESSENTIAL: Due to the small nature of the venue you must pre-book a ticket in advance so the staff can manage the number of people onsite at any one time. Please phone 0115 915 6878 to book. Payment will be taken on the day.
A ticket allows 45 minutes for the activity and 45 minutes to explore the site. The ticket also allows unlimited time in the community garden and on the field and play park outside. Green's Windmill reserves the right to deny access to anyone arriving late for their slot.
*PLEASE NOTE* Due to the strict social distancing measures in place only one adult per child is allowed to enter the site. Sadly, Green's Windmill cannot allow access to the upper floors of the mill. Only the ground floor can be visited.
DONATIONS
Green's Windmill encourage visitors on the day to please donate whatever they can. As a registered charity they depend upon donations to keep the mill open to the public. While entry to Green's Windmill and Science Centre is, and always will be free for all, they have suffered a great shortfall of income due to our COVID-19 enforced closure. And due to reduced visitors allowed onsite future income will be hugely reduced too. Your generous donations will ensure the continued operation and conservation of the windmill and help them in theur mission to inspire the next generation of mathematicians, scientists, artists and historians.
COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES
Please be aware a number of safety measures that are in place to ensure you have a safe visit:
• All visitors must pre-book their tickets so the number of people onsite can be managed
• As part of your booking the mill's staff will ask for your phone number for two reasons; 1) if they have to close for any reason they can let you know, and 2) For Track & Trace purposes in line with government guidance
• The upper floors of the mill are closed due to strict social distancing measures
• Face coverings must be worn at all times under government guidelines
• Self-guided one way routes and social distancing guidelines will be in place throughout the venue
• Hand sanitiser stations will be located throughout the venue
• Increased cleaning will take place throughout the venue
• Contactless payments are encouraged when possible
• Food and drink should not be consumed inside the buildings and please remember to take any rubbish away with you where possible
