The Caves of Nottingham
Saturday 6 April 2019 | 10am
Free event (Please book space online)

Hear about the history of Nottingham's fascinating caves, including their previous uses and why we have so many! Laura Binns, Community Archaeologist from Trent and Peak Archaeology will deliver this illuminating talk, focusing also on the discoveries made by Trent and Peak across the city in recent years.

In celebration of Nottingham’s 800 caves, #CaveCity invites you to explore this mysterious terrain which has lain beneath the city for hundreds of years. With tours, talks, activities and experiences throughout the city, including some of the city's lesser known cave locations, please visit the Cave City: Nottingham Underground Festival page for a full list of events, or check out the festival itinerary to plan your weekend
