An eclectic mix of old Hollywood glamour, vaudeville, comedy, music, circus and much more, The Gilded Merkin guarantees an unforgettable night of exhilarating entertainment!

Established in 2012 at the Glee Club in Nottingham, The Gilded Merkin instantly became one of the UK’s biggest cabaret variety shows hosting headline acts to sold-out crowds.

The show’s success saw it expand to include regular nights in Birmingham and Cardiff as well as appear at events such as the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, the National Hot Rod, Custom and American car show, the Summer of Vintage Festival and too many private parties to mention!

Featuring only the very best international burlesque and cabaret performers, no two shows are ever the same. Every act is handpicked by Midlands-based burlesque performer and producer Scarlett Daggers, the woman behind the Merkin.

KIKI DEVILLE

Half singer, half compere, half mathematician. Be not bedazzled by her glittering smile, or captivated by her comedic timing, yes, a woman of large 'talents' she may be, but don't let them detract from the incredible voice that lies beneath. Australian-born Miss Kiki DeVille (aka Kristianne Robinson) attributes her flawless and polished performances to over 25 years of professional international music industry experience.

LILLY SNATCHDRAGON

Lilly cumming to London few year ago in search of husband/wife... meaning: British passport. Lilly started doing stage management because she like brooming floors mutchly. As Asian lady very organised and efficient and you white people so dirty and messy. Plus, she needing break from heavy-handed massage parlour (very demanding men in England... maybe too much conservative voting?) Then Lilly discovering she maybe getting more marrying interest if she doing the burlesque dancing as well. Lilly do so good showing western peoples how silly they looking at S.E. Asian women, she win 'Best Newcomer' at London Cabaret Awards 2015, voted #11 in Top UK Burlesque Performers 2015, #15 in Top UK Burlesque Performers 2016 and cumming second at The Burlesque Awards for 'Best Performer' in 2016.

SNOOKIE MONO

Daredevil and international swordswallower: Snookie Mono has made a living from playing with fire and running with scissors. Whether he's french-kissing swords, stubbing out big fat Cuban cigars on his tongue, eating flaming torches or simply popping gum whilst crafting balloon poodles; this multi-disciplined artist effortlessly stretches his body to its limits and mixes dangerous stunts with playful, bad boy charm.

AGATHA FRISKY

International burlesque performer, teacher and producer. Born in Australia, forged in the fires of North America, and, after dragging her suitcase of glitter all around the world, now residing in Glasgow.

VELMA VON BON BON

Velma is a veritable Tour de Force in neo-burlesque hilarity! Voted in the top 50 burlesque performers in the world in 2015 and top 10 in the UK in 2014. Velma's unique take on burlesque and circus fuses comedy and glamour and her acts are as unique as her sweet self. Endearingly silly and daintily sexual, Velma has been setting stages alight (not literally) since 2009 and is in high demand across the UK and Europe.

SCARLETT DAGGERS

The one who makes all this possible... the Mistress of the Merkin. This rock'n'roll redhead will get you hot under the collar with her sizzling stage presence and megawatt smile. From a flag wielding greaser-girl to a B-movie Cobra Queen and even Robin Hood, Scarlett Daggers' unique acts really make her stand out from the crowd. With over 13 years in burlesque under her garter belt, Scarlett has performed across the UK and Europe and produces regular sell-out shows in Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, Cardiff and Leeds.
