The prestigious food event will be opening its doors at the beautiful Rufford Abbey in Nottinghamshire on the 26th – 28th of May 2018.

The new site will play host to some big-name industry chefs which include none other than the very popular TV chef James Martin, James will be headlining this year’s event on the Saturday with demo’s in the main kitchen arena throughout the day.

This year’s event will also boast some brand-new areas which include ‘The Gin Collection’. Attendees can come along and enjoy Gin tasting, workshops and masterclasses, plus a huge range of some of the finest artisan Gin producers all located in under one roof, to top it off there is a fabulous Gin bar with a large seated area serving a range of wonderful gin cocktails and drinks.

The Big BBQ - a fabulous dedicated area for the lovers of the fine art of BBQ. Bringing together a selection of the finest purveyors of BBQ food, you can indulge on a feast of different meat treats from Ribs to Brisket. We have selected only the best popup restaurants and street food in the region, you will not be disappointed.

Come and see workshops by our master butcher and pit masters who will be sharing their tips and secrets on the fine are of smoking and BBQ.

There will be a variation of competitions including the 'The Big Chilli Show Down' chilli eating contest which pits contestants against some of the fieriest chillies on the planet. The Snobby Butcher 'Hot Wings' Challenge, who will be crowned champion for of the Hot wing arena for 2018?

The event has over a hundred plus artisan exhibiters selling everything from home and giftware to local produce like fabulous breads and cheeses, charcuterie and a whole array of goodies. There will be plenty of popup restaurants selling some incredible food to suit all palates.

Finally, not forgetting the workshops for the children, they will be running each day on pizza making, burger making and none other than the very popular ‘Go Bake’ team, these demos will be available on all 3 days.  

Local independent Restaurant, Harts, are delighted to have their head chef, Dan Burridge, taking part in this year’s Great Food and Drink Festival. Chef Dan will be taking to the stage on the same day as none other than James Martin on Saturday 26th May at 2pm.
