The Harley Makers Club

This session gives participants the chance to learn the basic techniques to make Japanese style bound journals, note or sketchbooks. Basic and simple: it’s ideal for beginners or those wanting to experiment. The sessions will be led by Harley Studio artist and expert tutor, Ruth Waller. COVID-19 measures will be in place to ensure all adults attending are safe. These include smaller groups of up to 10, socially distanced and sanitised work stations. £20 per session, which includes all materials and equipment in a pre-prepared pack. No food or drink will be provided in the session. Booking is advisable as places are limited.


Saturday 26 June 2021, 2-4pm
The Harley Makers Club

During this session, participants will be introduced to different methods of constructing rugs from rags. They’ll be able to go home with a range of different samples and the knowhow to start their own rug at home. The sessions will be led by Harley Studio artist and expert tutor, Ruth Waller. COVID-19 measures will be in place to ensure all adults attending are safe. These include smaller groups of up to 10, socially distanced and sanitised work stations. £20 per session, which includes all materials and equipment in a pre-prepared pack. No food or drink will be provided in the session. Booking is advisable as places are limited.


Saturday 10 July 2021, 2-4pm
The Harley Makers Club

During this session, participants will get the chance to weave with wooden blocks and frames and create wall art or a piece of wearable art. The sessions will be led by Harley Studio artist and expert tutor, Ruth Waller. COVID-19 measures will be in place to ensure all adults attending are safe. These include smaller groups of up to 10, socially distanced and sanitised work stations. £20 per session, which includes all materials and equipment in a pre-prepared pack. No food or drink will be provided in the session. Booking is advisable as places are limited.
