The Major Oak Woodland Festival celebrates Britain's greatest heart of oak!
The Sherwood Forest Trust are leading the festival, to delve into its history of traditional woodland crafts, explore how it has been a productive woodland and salute its communities past and present.
The Green Man brings the spirit of Sherwood to life as he shares his tales in leafy glades. He summons the imps and fairies of these majestic woods and rallies the bushcrafters, the bodgers and the bees whilst bonding with Hill Holts, Hacketts and Wiffs. How wondrous, the world of the Green Man.
Drop in any time from 11am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will have stalls with bodgers, furniture makers, toy makers, willow weavers and other traditional craft demonstrators and traders. Watch demonstrations, talk to craftspeople, love Sherwood! Whether you love local crafts, are a woodland wanderer or want an enjoyable family day out, this is the experience you're looking for.
