Various Venues
Friday 20 - Sunday 29 April 2018

The annual Nottingham Poetry Festival is back, running between 20th – 29th April with Roger McGough, Jackie Kay and Hollie McNish among the headliners.

Building on the success of the two previous Nottingham Poetry Festivals and working closely with the Nottingham poetry community, Nottingham Poetry Festival 2018 is being backed by Nottingham Trent University and Confetti Media Group with support once again from Castle Rock Brewery. Notts TV are also back on board and will be producing a series of poetry specials for broadcast on the channel.

The stellar line-up includes national names in Roger McGough CBE, Jackie Kay MBE, Joolz Denby, Mark Grist, Holly McNish and the very funny Elvis McGonagall, together with many local poets including Nottingham’s Young Poet Laureate Georgina Wilding, the internationally renowned Jai Verma of Kavya Rang, Andrew “Mulletproof” Graves, Milla Tebbs, and Stephen Thomas.

Along with the headlining show, Hollie McNish & Cleo Asabre-Holt at The Vat and Fiddle there are dozens of events, workshops and performances taking place at various venues throughout the city. Henry Normal will be touring local libraries for his Poetry Hour sessions, which feature some wise and witty words from special guests. Have a browse of what's on at the venues below!
