The NPower Big Dribble

About

As part of a programme of pre-Olympic events under the umbrella of Hockey Nation we’re running the npower Big Dribble, which is hockey’s version of the torch relay. We’ll be going to 40 cities around the country over 18 days to give people of all ages and abilities the chance to pick up a stick and take part. We’ll set out a circuit for people to do their own hockey dribble in an attempt to set a record for dribbling hockey balls 2012km across Great Britain and there’ll be a giant hockey ball for fans to sign to wish Great Britain’s hockey teams ‘good luck’ ahead of the Games. In addition, we’ve partnered with WellChild, the UK’s national charity for sick children, and are hoping to raise some money for them along the way.

We’re taking the npower Big Dribble to Nottingham on Thursday 19 April in Market Square. It promises to be a really fun event, which will get people into the Olympic spirit and out in the fresh air taking exercise. Anything you can do to help support the promotion of the event to local communities and visitors would be most appreciated.
