The Siege of Newstead Abbey

About

The Ancestoral home of the Byrons comes under siege from the Parliamentary forces of Colonel John Gell of Derby.

Lord John Byron musters together his forces to protect not only his stately home but the routes North out of Nottingham and to help maintain the lines communication for King with his Northern Forces.

3 Days of brilliant re enactment involving 1000’s of re enactors plus a Living History village showing the arts crafts and lifestyle of 17th Century, pre battle displays and demonstrations.

Re enactors do interactive displays within the Abbey, maybe Lord Byron will be seen giving orders to his troops?
