If you have a spark for creative writing, maybe an idea or aspiration of creating your own enthralling thriller novel, this is your opportunity to learn from an established author with the aim of giving you the skills to turn your initial idea into a well-written, accomplished piece of work you can be proud of. The course will guide you through the development, planning and writing stages of crafting your novel. As well as developing your writing skills, you will also learn what you can do with your novel once you’ve finished.
On this course you will:
- Explore theories and strategies to develop an idea for a thriller
- Improve your creative writing skills
- Begin to approach a first draft, and understand the redrafting process
- Learn the importance of working with an editor
- Receive feedback
- Compare traditional and independent publishing (and learn how to go about both)
- Gain an overview of how you might make money as an author.
The course is open to beginners, no experience is required.
