Sherwood Community Centre is based in Woodthorpe House, a Grade II listed building which dates back to at least the first part of the 18th Century, although it is noted that some areas of the house are probably older.

During this exclusive tour there will be an opportunity to see an exhibition about the house, which has some beautiful architectural features, such as Doric columns, curved mahonogy doors and beautiful plasterwork. You will then be taken down to visit the cellar, and the cave below

Meet in Cafe of the community centre The cafe will be closed Sunday but refreshments will be available to buy.

Please note: Steps and uneven sandstone floors. No wheelchair or push chair access.

Please email chair.sherwoodcommunitycentre@gmail.com to book, or telephone 0115 932 7495. Payment can be made on the day.

In celebration of Nottingham’s 800 caves, #CaveCity invites you to explore this mysterious terrain which has lain beneath the city for hundreds of years.
