Join Nonsuch Studio for an hour-long exploration into the life and work of Carmen Miranda, hosted by Ines Sampaio and guest speaker Professor Lisa Shaw (University of Liverpool).

Through an hour of discussion and conversation, discovering the elements that made Carmen the icon she is today and open up the creative process behind a new performance project based on her life: Tutti Frutti Hat Lady.

Directed by Franko Figueiredo, with projection design by Barret Hodgson, costume by Sue Pyecroft and produced by Hattie Coupe, Tutti Frutti Hat Lady explores the life of Carmen Miranda and her journey to fame, drawing parallels to modern life and the struggles of owning your identity as an international performer.

This event will be a live Zoom webinar.
