Vampires and zombies fiction is still alive and kicking (well, not quite!) in the horror genre. This one-day workshop will help you understand its current position in the industry. It will also introduce you to the skills you need to create fiction that gets noticed. This day is comprised of short lectures, group discussions and practical writing exercises.
On this course you will:
- gain an understanding of vampire and zombie literary history
- examine key texts for hints and tips
- assess our own expectations of zombies and vampires
- learn how to create your own work which fills a gap in the current market
- gain feedback on a short piece of your own.
The course is open to beginners as well as people with some writing experience looking for inspiration.
What will I gain?
You'll leave this course with a short piece of creative horror writing that can be a great starting point for further development.
You'll also have the knowledge of what to do with your text, and where best to get published.
