About

Wonder
Saturday 15 June 2019
University Park

Join us for a free, fun day of discovery at University Park and uncover the answers to the questions you’ve always wondered about.

See, hear and feel our groundbreaking research and teaching first hand. Try experiments, activities, workshops, games and puzzles delivered by our friendly staff and students.

Whatever your age, there will be activities to excite and amaze the whole family:

• Test your skills with LED lightsaber training

• Hunt for elements in our Periodic Table treasure trail

• Hear how helium and iodine helped the allies win WWI

• Become a scientist and see your own DNA

• Create a giant art installation with gold, silver and copper threads

We’re also celebrating the Year of the Periodic Table – come and help us explore the elements in ways that you’ve never imagined. After a day of Wonder, the world will never look ordinary again.
