As part of the World Deaf Tennis Championships you can try tennis for free as well as meeting and getting top tips from the world’s best players. Make sure you pre-register via the website so not to miss out on this fun filled day for all the family!
Deaf tennis has a long history in British tennis and playing the sport requires no adaption apart from making sure communication is clear between players, coaches and officials. People can play against other deaf tennis players, and alongside or against friends and family who don’t have a hearing impairment.
The sessions are a great opportunity to try the sport and will be run by experienced coaches (interpreters will be on hand to support the coaches). The day is completely free and equipment will be provided.
Please find more information and a sign up session form at: http://www3.lta.org.uk/Tennis-Foundation/Tennis-for-Disabled-People/Hearing-Impaired-Tennis/World-Deaf-Tennis-Championships-2015/
