Join Nottingham Trent University's Writing, Reading and Pleasure programme (WRAP) for their final WRAP Live! event of the academic year with spoken word and hip hop artist Shauna O'Briain, also known as MC Angel.
This free, public event will be hosted by poet and academic Dr Becky Cullen. Enjoy the show in person at Metronome or tune into the livestream from the comfort of your own home.
Shauna and Becky Cullen will be in conversation. They will discuss Shauna's performance and writing career as MC Angel, as well as how Shauna's writing has been shaped by her experience of growing up on a council estate as a white, working class queer woman. Inspired by Shauna's memoir Moments of Significance, they'll touch on positivity, mental health, and self-expression.
Shauna will perform live and Nottingham Trent University's WRAP students will share their writing inspired by her work and performance masterclasses.
Audiences will be able to get involved and ask questions during a live Q&A.

WRAP is part of Curated & Created — Nottingham Trent University's extra-curricular arts programme. WRAP offers a variety of activities for NTU students, including book groups, writing workshops, meet ups and masterclasses, encouraging students' creativity and confidence in self-expression.
