Hanwell Wine Estate
£75.00 per person
Join this Precious Metal Silver Clay half day workshop, and learn the fundamentals of creating your own beautiful solid silver charm.
As this workshop is botanical themed you'll take a walk around the beautiful grounds of Hanwell Estate and select any leaves, flowers or natures little finds. You'll then learn how to take an impression of them in preparation to be turned into a beautiful silver charm - this is where the magic really starts to happen! If you don't find anything you like on your walk, don't worry, we have lots of different moulds that we've made already, which you can select from - these include, daisies, buttercups, dandellions, various leaves and plenty more!
You will learn the process of making your charm with silver clay from start to finish. After learning how to capture your impressions, you'll then focus upon how to handle, roll and shape, before drying and refining. The second part of the session will then focus upon torch firing, polishing and learning how to patina. Your charm will be ready to take home with you on the day.
Who is the workshop for
This workshop is aimed at those with no little or no experience of working with Silver Clay.
What is included
Everything is included, all tools and materials, plus refreshments. Nothing to bring, just yourself.
Precious Metal Silver clay is made up of very fine particles of recycled pure silver, water and a non toxic binder. When your piece is fired, the binder burns away, leaving you with solid fine silver. The process is truly magical. Art Clay fine (99.9%) silver will be used during this workshop.
