You are here > Tourism Trade Shows > Nottinghamshire Tourism Summit 2025
Hosted annually by Visit Nottinghamshire, the Visitor Economy Summit 2025 is a flagship event in the tourism calendar, bringing together local businesses, tourism professionals, stakeholders, and public-sector partners to help shape the future of Nottinghamshire’s visitor economy.
Taking place on Wednesday 10th September at the prestigious Nottingham Belfry Hotel, this year’s Summit will celebrate Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s pivotal role in the visitor economy, while energising the local tourism sector and uniting partners to support a vibrant, sustainable future for the region as a leading destination.
Attendees will hear from industry-leading speakers, including representatives from VisitBritain, the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), Futures and Hanwell Wine Estate, who will share valuable insights into national and regional trends, opportunities, and challenges.
The event will also provide an opportunity for Visit Nottinghamshire to reflect on the achievements of the past year, present key visitor economy statistics, and outline plans for the future — including the development and implementation of a comprehensive 10-year Destination Management Plan - Working together to strengthen and grow our destination.
We will also be hosting two post event workshops and would be delighted at your attendance.
These will take place after the summit, starting at 3.30pm and lasting no longer than 5pm. These workshops will allow you to support and influence both Visit England campaigns and learn about a new quality accreditation scheme that's free of charge to hospitality businesses.
Workshop One: Visitor Ready AA Accreditation Workshop: Helping Visitor Economy Businesses Elevate Standards and Win More Visitors
Workshop Two: From Conquest to Connection: Showcasing Nottingham’s Norman Story for French Visitors
