Nottingham's best loved FREE Fireworks display is back at the Forest Recreation Ground!

The largest and most central bonfire celebrations in the city, will be packed with fairground rides and delicious food stalls, all centred around a grand roaring bonfire. 

Please do not bring your own fireworks or sparklers to this event.

There is a whole evening of entertainment on offer. The event kicks off with the return of the popular funfair. Attractions are provided by the Mellors Group. Gates open at 5.30pm. The children’s fireworks display starts at 7.15 with the enormous bonfire being lit at 7.45pm.

The main fireworks display will take place at 9pm. There will be time to continue to enjoy the atmosphere until the site closes at 10.30pm.

There are no cashpoint facilities on site


There is no parking on site (except Blue Badge holders)

As the attraction is hugely popular with locals and visitors alike there’ll be no parking on site, so people heading for the event are being encouraged to travel by public transport.

Night access to the park and ride facilities at The Forest will be restricted to blue badge holders only, but NET is laying on frequent tram services throughout the evening to help make sure nobody misses out on the fun.

From 3pm, trams will run every eight and a half minutes until 8pm and then at 10 minute intervals until 11pm.

NET tram’s £5 group ticket allows unlimited travel for one or two adults and up to three children from 4pm on weekdays. Tickets can be purchased on the platform ot payments can also be made on the new NETGO App.

For those taking the bus, NCT Brown, Lime, Yellow and Purple Line buses all stop at Forest Recreation Ground. A £6 Grouprider covers unlimited travel for up to 5 people (min 1 adult, max 2 adults) after 09:30 for travel to and from Bonfire Night.
