Step into the story of Robin Hood and experience the magic of Nottinghamshire - where legend meets history. Our exclusive overnight experience for two invites you to explore the home of Robin Hood and walk in his footsteps, from the ancient oaks of Sherwood Forest to the heart of Nottingham.
Day One
Morning – Arrival & Check in
- Arrive in Nottingham and check into the charming Lace Market Hotel perfectly located near the city’s historic landmarks linked with Robin Hood himself.
- Welcome pack, including Nottingham and Nottinghamshire visitor guide and Robin Hood themed souvenirs.
Late Morning – Explore 1000 years of history at Nottingham Castle
- Visit the historic Nottingham Castle, home to immersive exhibitions on the city’s rebellious history and interactive Robin Hood-themed experiences.
- Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Castle terrace, once the home of Nottingham’s most notorious villain, the Sheriff himself.
Lunch – Historic Pub Dining
- Lunch at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, England’s oldest inn, nestled beneath the Castle’s cliffside.
- Try mouth-watering Nottinghamshire dishes while you dine in the location visited by Robin Hood and his Merry Men themselves.

Afternoon – Robin Hood Town Tour
- Join the award-winning Robin Hood Town Tour led by Robin Hood himself – a local guide who brings the legend to life with his storytelling. Discover secret locations, medieval landmarks, and the truth behind the legends that inspired generations.
Evening – Dinner
- Dine at Iberico World Tapas with Spanish-inspired tapas of rustic simplicity, combined with refined ingredients of world cooking and influences.
Day Two – Sherwood Forest, where legends grow
Morning – Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve
- After breakfast at Lace Market Hotel, set off to explore Sherwood Forest on a guided tour - the ancient royal hunting ground where Robin and his Merry Men once roamed.
- Stroll through centuries-old oak trees including the legendary Major Oak, where according to legend Robin Hood sought refuge from The Sheriff of Nottingham. Then warm up with a complimentary hot drink in the Visitor Centre.
Lunch – Edwinstowe Village at The Dukeries Lodge
- Enjoy a cosy lunch at The Dukeries Lodge in Edwinstowe, the picturesque village where Robin Hood married Maid Marian. The Dukeries Lodge is an 18th-century inn offering a home cooked food and 15 bedrooms. Their menus have been carefully put together to showcase all your favourites dishes – using the best local ingredients

- Prize includes, overnight stay for two at Lace Market Hotel including breakfast (dates subject to availability), lunch for two at Ye Olde Trip to Jeruselem (drinks not included), a family ticket to Nottingham Castle (two adults and up to 3 children), two tickets to Robin Hood Town Tour, dinner for two at Iberico World Taps (drinks not included), two tickets to guided tour of Sherwood Forest and two drinks at RSPB's Visitor Centre, lunch for two at The Dukeries Lodge (drinks not included).
