Home to festive markets, independent boutiques, cosy pubs, and sparkling events, spending Christmas in Nottinghamshire is a truly magical experience. While coronavirus has left many of us worried about whether Christmas 2020 will be cancelled, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are leading the way with some brand-new and reimagined Christmas events designed to allow us all to celebrate the festive season in a socially distanced manner, making it an ideal destination for a safe and special winter getaway.

Christmas at Wollaton Hall is set to be gloriously festive as the gardens are transformed into a captivating spectacle and discovery trail with light, sound and fire. This unique socially distanced outdoor light installation will be an enchanting winter paradise with four magical lands, including a fairy-lit woodland winterscape, a festive forest, a stunning light tunnel and ethereal sculptures. Alongside the dazzling light display, visitors can enjoy festive food and drink and shop for that perfect present at the seasonal market.
The beautiful Belvoir Castle with brim with festive charm, festooned with twinkling lights and traditional decorations. Visit Santa in his delightful grotto, indulge in yummy festive treats and find the perfect stocking fillers at the chalet style Christmas Markets at the Engine Yard.
