Christmas Markets in Nottingham
The festive season kicks off in the city as Nottingham Winter Wonderland will be running at Old Market Square from 12 November – 31 December 2025. The square transforms into a winter wonderland complete with traditional chalet-style market stalls, festive attractions, pop-up bars, and a dazzling 60ft grand fir Christmas tree adorned with 4,000 red and white lights. Visitors can browse a wide variety of stalls offering artisan cheeses, handmade jewellery, home accessories, retro fashion, and continental treats. There’s something for every taste, whether you’re hunting for gifts or simply soaking in the festive atmosphere.
Just a short stroll away, the Christmas Market at Nottingham Castle will sparkle over three days from 28–30 November 2025. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Castle, this festive market features over 90 stalls from incredible local makers and traders. The Makers Marquee showcases 25+ talented artisans offering unique, handmade treasures, while free family activities include magical performances, festive characters, face painting, and a sparkling carousel. Visitors can warm up with steaming hot chocolate, mulled wine, hearty street food, and sweet treats while enjoying live entertainment throughout the grounds. Entry tickets are £2 for adults and £1 for children under 15, with pre-booking required.
Christmas Markets Across Nottinghamshire
Norwood Park welcomes the Christmas Market with Fabulous Places on 4 December 2025 from 3pm to 8:30pm. Step into the historic house and grounds to browse over 45 stalls from local suppliers, offering everything from festive produce and hot food to unique handmade gifts, perfect for last-minute Christmas shopping.
Ruddington comes alive on 6 December 2025 with Father Christmas in the Cottages & Festive Craft Market at the Framework Knitters Museum. Children can meet Santa in his cosy Victorian grotto for £8 per child, while parents explore a festive craft market in the Chapel Gallery, showcasing handmade seasonal gifts. The Parker’s Yard café remains open, serving hot drinks, seasonal treats, and hearty meals throughout the day.
Christmas at Clipstone takes place on 6 December 2025 in the iconic power house beneath the world’s tallest headstocks. Visitors can enjoy live music, festive food and drink, browse unusual gifts, and even meet Santa for just £2 (including a gift). Entry is £3 for adults, with under 10s free, and parking available for £1.
The county’s library network hosts festive markets across Nottinghamshire on 29 November 2025, including Eastwood Library, Worksop Library, and Mansfield Central Library. Free entry allows visitors to browse local creators’ stalls, featuring handmade gifts, festive treats, and a warm seasonal atmosphere.
