We’ve teamed up with Nottinghamshire’s premier family festival Gloworm and the Old Chapel Apartments to give one lucky family the chance to win a weekend of epic fun for kids and their grown-ups, with a two-night stay on Friday 8th & Saturday 9th August.

This fabulous prize includes a family ticket (two adults and two children) for the whole weekend at Thoresby Park, giving entry for Saturday 9th August & Sunday 10th August from 10am till 10pm. 

You will also be staying at the luxurious Old Chapel Apartments hotel in Edwinstowe. Positioned on a beautiful village high street in the heart of Sherwood Forest, they are perfect for families holidaying together.

Welcome to the Gloworm Festival 2025, a vibrant three-day family event set amidst the picturesque landscapes of Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire. Scheduled from August 8th to 10th, 2025, this festival is meticulously crafted for adults and their little ones, offering a warm, welcoming, and creative environment where families can unwind, play, and create lasting memories. ​

Now in its ninth year, the Gloworm Festival is dedicated to celebrating children aged 0-13, while ensuring there's plenty for teenagers and adults to enjoy. The festival's ethos revolves around the belief that children are the most important people in the world, and this is reflected in the diverse range of activities and entertainment on offer. ​

More About the Old Chapel Apartments

These apartments are in a renovated former old Methodist Chapel and truly at the centre of village life. Beautifully appointed and furnished in a luxurious modern style, each bedroom can be configured to have 1 king or 2 single beds on request; bedroom 2 is a large room on the mezzanine floor complete with a super king bed. Both bedrooms have modern en-suite bathrooms/wet rooms with beautiful finishings. Off-road parking can be found to the rear of the Old Chapel and there is a secure locker for bicycles and motorbikes. 

Terms & Conditions

• You must be over 18 years of age to enter the competition.
• The competition is for a family of (up to) four and must include one adult (over the age of 18) and at least one child (under the age of 18). 
• Valid entries via this webpage and form submission only. Entries on social media will not be valid or included in the prize draw.
• This competition runs from Monday 14th April 2025 to midnight on Wednesday 14th May 2025.
• Please note that no dogs are allowed at Gloworm festival.
• The winner will be contacted on or after Thursday15th May 2025. The winner will be contacted directly via email or telephone by Visit Nottinghamshire. 
• Prize must be claimed within 48 hours of being contacted, or will be deemed unclaimed. An unclaimed prize will be returned to the competition organiser, and another winner will be drawn.
• One entry per person.
• You must be able to take the prize over the weekend of 9th & 10th August 2025.
• The winner will be chosen at random.
• The winners contact details will be shared with Gloworm Festival and Old Chapel Apartments to arrange receipt of the prize as the involved venues will require access to these contact details to confirm further arrangements.
• The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, no cash alternatives will be provided.
• Visit Nottinghamshire reserves the right to withdraw this competition at any time.
