The Museum of Nottingham Life at Brewhouse Yard

About

Located at the base of the Castle Rock, the museum depicts the social history of Nottingham over the last 300 years. It contains a mixture of reconstructed rooms and shop settings, and gallery displays.

Step back into an air raid shelter, experience being in a Victorian home, see inside a child's bedroom and look through the cupboards in the kitchen. See objects that were made or used by people in Nottingham and learn about the history of the area, through sight, sound and touch.

Please Note: Due to a fantastic £29.8m Heritage Lottery Funded grant Nottingham Castle will be undergoing development throughout 2018 - 2020, with closure set for mid-summer. The Museum of Nottingham Life at Brewhouse Yard will be closed from Monday 2nd April 2018. Please visit the Nottingham Castle website for updates and information before your visit.
