This course will explore contemporary approaches to car design.
It will teach the fundamentals of design and style and how they link to the function of a vehicle.
This course will begin by exploring car design history and branding, and will look at the future of the industry and will then go on to develop practical design skills.
During this course you will:
- create car design concepts from a brief
- learn how to design in different perspectives
- learn how to present your project ideas to others
- learn about style and function in automobile design
- discover brand DNA for car design.
You will be introduced to techniques through group demonstrations, samples, feedback and tutorials.
What will you gain?
By the end of the course you will be able to recognise the different stages of design development for a car.
You will have developed a range of professional skills and enhanced your portfolio.
Level: Open to all
Entry requirement: You should have an interest in product, industrial or car design, and in developing your creative thinking and drawing skills.
Tutor profile: Boris Fabris is a car designer and consultant based in Turin, Italy.
He has experience in working in car design in the USA, China and Europe.
Boris also teaches and lectures internationally.
