Castle Rock Brewery Yard Party

Friday 17 & 18 May 2019
Castle Rock Brewery and the Vat & Fiddle
Opening - Friday 3pm / Saturday 12pm until 10:30pm

The brewery sources some of the best beer it can get its hands on from the UK, Europe and the rest of the world, available to try in keg and cask. Partners at the Maze choose some of their favourite live music acts to perform. The event will be showcasing vendors from Nottingham Street Club food, including plenty of delicious food from Smoqued, Homeboys, and on the Saturday from Big Melt. Plus, the Vat & Fiddle will be selling cobs and snacks.

They will be running free brewery tours again on both days, the Old Cold Store is launching its first Castle Rock Comedy Club show in Comedy Corner and they’ll also be revealing more surprises throughout the party.

40+ keg beers, served over 20 lines. Once a beer runs runs out, it’ll be replaced with an equally exceptional beer.
Up to 20 cask beers, served straight from the cask, all available from Day One.

Yes, we’ll be sourcing some real cider.

There will be a keg lager and keg cider available. There will also be soft drinks, juice and water available from the Vat.

Full price tickets cost £7.50 on Friday and £10 on Saturday. The Saturday price is the same as 2018.

Events like this are not cheap to put on. In addition to costs that are associated with running a pub or bar, there’s also the live artists, sound engineers, child-friendly entertainment, security and licensing – and there’s a lot of preparatory work that goes into the event too. Your entry fee and purchases cover all of this and help to support live music, local business, and this wonderful brewing scene. In exchange for your entry fee, you’ll also be able to go on a free brewery tour (normally £12pp), a glass AND we’re giving everyone a sheet of 50p off vouchers for all Castle Rock managed pubs (T&Cs apply). Should the event make a profit, our aim would be to reinvest that to improve the event and even make it happen more regularly.

Children are more than welcome along, on the Friday and Saturday, however from 6pm it will be adults only. Anyone under the age of 18 will be given a wrist band upon entry. As there’s no child specific entertainment this year, children go free with a paying adult. And don’t worry – we’re pretty confident the entertainment we have planned transcends age – so everyone should have a great time regardless!

All updates in this area can be found on the Facebook event page. There’ll be Castle Rock beer, some local favourites and then some wonderful beer from the rest of the world. Ultimately, this event is about showcasing some of the most wonderful brewers around – so there’ll be a big mix of brewers and styles.
