Hidden Food Tours

About

Join expert local guides for a tour around the food and history of the Rebel City. From cheese riots to Italian revolutionaries, how a French P.O.W. invented a modern salad staple, to dishes created for the tour by exciting young award winning chefs - Nottingham’s history and it’s food are intertwined.

The tour, which lasts three hours, takes place on Saturday mornings and visits five different stops around the city centre. You’ll meet passionate experts in long established shops, visit exciting new bakeries, cafes and restaurants, tasting and hearing the producer’s stories as you go. You’ll also learn about how Nottingham’s history was shaped by it’s food, and sample local delicacies, from world famous cheese to hidden local favourites. Yes, mushy peas might be on the menu!

Hidden Food Tours is an award winning boutique walking food company. They share insider knowledge and lead you to hidden culinary gems, while revealing local history, fun facts and traditions, and explain myths & legends, the local food economy and much more. They keep their groups small to ensure a personalised, relaxed experience - perfect for connecting with the city and interacting with fellow food lovers.
