Robin Hood Statue
£10 donation required
Join Ezekial Bone at the Robin Hood statue for the the Sheriff's Proclamation as we celebrate the national treasure and natural wonder that is Sherwood Forest.
After the Proclamation at noon, we will process down to the oldest inn in England - Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem - for music, prose, food and ales and an illustrated talk by Andy Gaunt @MercianArch. More speakers will be talking about 'Greening the City' including Sarah Manton of #SherwoodPeoplesForest. More to be announced.
Tickets are limited due to the size of the Cave Room (30 pax). A donation of £10 is required to cover costs. Apply only via DM to Ezekial Bone.
Make history and bring Sherwood Forest to the city and turn the birthday of Major Hayman Rooke into an annual custom.
This is part of a wider event with plaques being unveiled across the county. Details as follows: here
The Proclamation will be read with the tolling of the Little John Bells at noon so people can gather at the statue from 11.45 onwards.
