About

Sunday 8th December | 2024 | 1pm - 4pm
Nottingham Contemporary
FREE

Join Nottingham Contemporary for a slow craft social lead by Textile Artist and Visitor Services Supervisor, Emma Graves.

Drawing ideas from Craftivism and Mindfulness, you will explore relaxing techniques such as embroidery, collage, and printing in the session.

Take time to approach making in a contemplative space to resist the pressures of productivity. This drop-in workshop focuses on enjoying the process of making as opposed to producing a finished piece.

No need to have previous craft experience. Drop-in at any time but booking is required.

Materials will be provided!

*Craftivism (coined by Betsy Greer), a portmanteau of craft and activism, utilises craft as a form of gentle protest.

About
Free for all. This event is aimed at 15-25 year olds. Booking is required.
